When the sun rises in this view
From mid-February to late October the sun rises inside this frame. In spring and autumn it comes straight out of the open sea, a minute or two after the official sunrise time.
From May to July the sunrise moves to the left, towards Cap Ferrat, and the sun appears from behind the distant mountains about eight minutes after the official time. From November to mid-February it rises beyond the right edge of this view.
