When the sun sets in this view

From early September to early April the sun sets inside this frame. In late autumn and winter it goes down behind the Frioul islands and the Château d'If, about five to eight minutes before the official sunset time; around the equinoxes it sets into the open sea to the right of the islands.

From April to the end of August it sets further to the right, beyond the right edge of this view.
