When the sun sets in this view
From late February to late October the sun sets inside this frame – so this view also covers the summer, when it sets out of sight from Castle Hill and the Mont Boron terrace. It does not set into the sea, though: it goes down behind the mountains inland.
Around the equinoxes it sets above the hills behind Cagnes and Antibes, about 12 minutes before the official sunset time. In summer it moves to the right and disappears behind the Cheiron massif, often snow-capped until spring, about 20 minutes early. From November to mid-February it sets beyond the left edge of this view.
