When the sun rises in this view
From early February to early November the sun rises inside this frame. Around the equinoxes it comes up straight out of the sea, right of centre; because the viewpoint is high above the sea, it appears a minute or two before the official sunrise time.
In late spring and summer the sunrise moves to the left, over the mountains of the Italian coast, and the sun appears about 10–15 minutes after sunrise. From early November to early February it rises beyond the right edge of this view.
