When the sun rises in this view
From mid-August to late April the sun rises inside this frame, always from behind the ridge of Cap Canaille: in December close to the end of the cliffs, about eight minutes after the official sunrise time, and in spring and autumn above the highest cliffs, about half an hour later.
From May to mid-August it rises beyond the left edge of this view. The sun never comes out of the sea here, but the first light on the white cliffs and the coves is beautiful.
